Private range · By appointment

The range is built for more than standing still.

Because only one party uses the range during each session, safe and capable shooters can practice skills that crowded public ranges generally cannot allow.

About the range

Training and recreational shooting, shaped around your party.

The range at Lewis Creek is set up for training as well as recreational shooting. Every session is scheduled, and your group is the only group on the range.

That private structure allows Dick to match the experience to the shooters—whether the goal is basic practice, personal-defense skills, competitive movement, firearm selection, or a group event.

01

Reactive steel

Shoot reactive steel targets and get immediate feedback from every well-placed shot.

02

Advanced pistol skills

After demonstrating reasonable skill, shooters may draw from a holster, practice reloads, shoot rapid shots, and engage multiple reactive targets.

03

Move and shoot

Training sessions can include movement and shooting exercises that provide a natural transition into competitive shooting.

04

Try before you buy

A training session can incorporate choosing the best personal-defense firearm from Dick’s concealed-carry handguns.

05

Rifle and shotgun

Dedicated rifle and Five Stand shotgun areas offer paper, steel, and varied clay presentations.

06

Private groups

Lewis Creek can accommodate bachelor parties, birthdays, corporate groups, and other events—and provide food when needed.

Range areas

Three disciplines. One private experience.

Range time includes access to the pistol bay, 100-yard rifle range, and shotgun range. Paper pistol and rifle targets are provided at no charge.

Shoot to 25 yards on paper, falling plates, or steel targets from full-size USPSA to a 3-inch dueling tree. A covered portico allows rainy-day practice; the 26-by-48-foot pad keeps magazines off dirt. Advanced drills require Dick’s approval.

Rules and limitations

Everyone on the range protects everyone else.
